ABOUT DIRECT MAIL Direct mail offers the ability to reach your customers or clients on a mass scale at discounted postage rates. Mail your letters, postcards, or newsletters at discount rates using your customer/client databases, a purchased mailing list, or the combination of the two.
Our mailing software is CASS-certified (Coding Accuracy Support System) , meaning we can validate the addresses for accuracy and thus incorporate lower postage rates. In addition, we can check for duplicate records in your database based on individual, household or company, to prevent mailing excess pieces and lowering the overall printing and postage costs.

DATABASE MANAGEMENT Data files can be in Excel, Access, Database (DBase), Word, Works, delimited (tab, space, etc.), or fixed length. Refer to Database Guidelines for proper formatting of your file. If you have a fairly large file, we recommend using a compression utility such as WinZip to reduce file size. This program is available from www.winzip.com.
Once your database or purchased file is imported into our postal software application, we can validate all records and eliminate duplicate records based on your specifications to be used for a mailing. We can also split files and select specific records if you wish to do multiple mailings by keeping track of which records you have and have not mailed.
Additional files and records can be added or deleted to keep your database up to date. Other options to keep your database up to date includes running an NCOA (National Change of Address). This process updates your database to provide new addresses for your customers or clients that have moved.

Mail Matching refers to having your addressed envelope match with data on your inserted piece to provide a more personalized touch to increase responses to your campaign or provide individual information such as membership ID's, account information, etc.
MAIL METERING AND PRECANCELED STAMPS Metering and precanceled stamps offer alternatives to permit imprints to receive discount postage rates. Metering is mainly used on postcards or letters that are pre-addressed and need to be sorted or sent at single piece rates. Precanceled stamps provide an optional postage payment method for mailings at Presorted and automation First-Class Mail rates and at all Standard Mail rates.
PRE-ADDRESSED MAILPIECE SORTING We will manually sort pre-addressed pieces to comply with the USPS sorting requirements to provide you with discount postage rates.
LABELING
Labels are used when inkjet addressing cannot
be applied. This occurs on very slick pieces where the ink does not set onto the mailpiece or a mailpiece will not accurately run through the
inkjet addresser
because of size dimensions or consistency.
FOLDING
Sheets can be folded to be used for envelope
insertion or to be tabbed and mailed as self-mailers to be addressed.

Tabbing mailpieces allows for the ability to
create machinable and barcoded pieces for lower postage rates. Folded or loose
sheet pieces require tabbing if you want to receive
the postage discounts.
